I will add that during the 200 year Crusader ordeal, Jews were always allied to the Islamic side, and never once to the Christian side. Ultimately, this proved to be the correct decision. One of Saladin’s less famous quotes was “let me get you a Jewish doctor”. I am fully aware that this doesn’t fit today’s conflict narrative.
