LinkedIn is like one of those bars where you go to meet someone of the opposite sex, and all they have are people of the same sex. Conversely if you were gay, it would be a gay bar with only straight people in it. My point is that LinkedIn has degenerated into a bazaar of job seekers and service providers with few organizations that are actually looking to hire. My advice would be to focus on campus recruiting, and your own friends network. If you are looking for a "tech" job, the industry right now is in a serious recession. I have a number of friends with 10+ years of experience with full stack development who have been out of work for three plus months and are seriously stressing. One of them recently got a $120K grant to write a crypto app, but that did not happen because of LinkedIn.
