There is a certain irony to this all. While Israel may have its share of right wing nuts, i.e. the ultra orthodox settlers, as does the US with its Christian nationalists, the country overall is pretty liberal. Hamas on the other hand is a totalitarian ideology, anti women and anti gay, more aligned with the Islamic State of recent. Why the American left, specifically the Woke ideologues, would choose to champion this camp is amazing to me.
