There is no such thing as a war where innocents don't die, and no one has a monopoly on being outraged. However, this episode of the war was clearly triggered by the events of October 6th, which in the annals of horrible behavior have set a new gold standard (Isis and the Russians in Syria notwithstanding). In order for there to be any semblance of peace two things have to end: the Palestinians have to renounce terror as a means for solving political disputes, and the Israelis have to renounce settlement activity outside of their UN mandated borders - and yes that includes Gaza and the West Bank. Until then, it's going to be more of the same, my only advice is get out the popcorn and cheer for your team, and don't put too much trust into the referee.
